2010 highlights

2009 has proved to have been CCB’s most successful year to date with 32% full year growth over the previous year. Because of the level of business we are now consulting upon, our team has been further strengthened with Wendy Sutherland, a very experienced catering professional, and Sandra Iddon who is responsible for our business strategy and development.

We have seen some really exciting projects over the last year from assisting an NHS Trust to identify savings in excess of six figures, to supporting another one of our clients to tender, mobilise, and successfully open a signature chef restaurant, corporate venue rooms and a bistro. This has proved to be a huge success and we have been retained to support the client in managing the contract. Wendy has been particularly busy having consulted on a number of colleges, corporate food service operations, and fine dining in London. All of this and she still finds time to study for an MBA!Helen has also recently been busy with the tendering and mobilising an impressive portfolio of college sites, which will culminate in 2011 with the opening of a “state of the art” New Learner Centre with extensive catering and hospitality facilities. Helen has been asked to manage the process to opening and will be providing extensive support to the client. She is also a proud mother, or rather her Labrador is, of 9 new pups!Sarah is still ensuring that we are in the right place at the right time and has been a “rock” during our really busy times, providing all the back up that any busy consultant needs.

2010-2011 looks like we will again have a significantly better year and we have a number of really exciting plans for 2011-2012.

2009 highlights

Peter has been working with a major educational college to structure and determine catering strategy for the future. A major review is underway and the college are using this to review and restructure their catering strategy for the future.

“This is a really exciting project for CCB and one that gives us the opportunity to support and assist right from the very start” With the summer fast approaching activities at Catering Consultancy Bureau are also "hotting" up. The team has just finished an extensive project for a well known London organisation that saw a comprehensive feasibility study, tender, and project implementation undertaken to determine the most appropriate food service solutions for this organisation. The project involved in depth research into the fine dining market to determine the viability of introducing a restaurant into this organisation’s prestigious premises. This coupled with extensive hospitality, conferencing facilities, private dining and staff restaurant at two locations kept Peter and the team pretty busy. The facilities are just launching so come back later for an update( and some big name dropping!) but to date it’s looking really good for both the catering organisation and the client.

CCB’s contract at 2 large London law firms has been extended for another year. CCB’s involvement is for client support services and benchmarking, together with financial advice and management. Working with both catering organisations, significant financial and operational efficiencies have been achieved through adopting good practice and working methods.

Catering Consultancy Bureau has recently been awarded a support contract working with a facilities organisation to assist and support them in driving efficiencies from their on site catering activities. This is an on-going project that has already seen some substantial financial and operational benefits.
